Shelby Township | Livonia, Michigan Endovenous Laser Ablation, (EVLT) Treatments
Endevenous Laser Ablation (EVLT) procedure is used in treating diseased varicose veins. The EVLT procedure will permanently remove varicose veins by shrinking and collapsing them from view. The treatment is done through a tiny insertion through the skin by a tiny laser fiber catheter that emits radiofrequency energy or laser energy into the varicose vein. Patients will have no scarring following the treatment. An ultrasound is used to guide the laser fiber in order to perfectly position it near the malfunctioning valve.
Patients will receive local anesthesia to ensure no discomfort during the EVLT procedure. Endovenous Laser Ablation is an FDA cleared treatment for diseased veins. The procedure is safe and minimally invasive, and will completely remove varicose veins. Patients have little to no downtime following the procedure and experience satisfying cosmetic results along with the disappearance of symptoms that they cause.
